David ‘Nino’ Rodriguez is a former professional heavyweight boxer known for his explosive knockout power and relentless fighting style. Born in El Paso, Texas, in 1977, Rodriguez turned to boxing at an early age to combat bullying and build resilience. His dedication to the sport led him to a successful amateur career before turning professional in 1998. Standing 6’4” with a devastating left hook, he quickly became a feared competitor in the ring, achieving an impressive record of 37 wins, 2 losses, and 35 knockouts. He captured multiple titles, including the WBA NABA Heavyweight Championship and the WBC FECOMBOX Mexican Heavyweight Championship. Despite a brief return to the ring, Rodriguez retired in 2015 after one final first-round knockout victory.
Following his illustrious boxing career, Rodriguez transitioned into advocacy and media, using his personal struggles with PTSD, addiction, and recovery to inspire others.
